About this update
This news articles update documents part of KARANI GROUP's ongoing work across the UAE and India, where we deliver construction, interior fit-out, joinery, restoration and facility-management projects for developers, corporates, retailers and hospitality operators.
About KARANI GROUP
Founded over four decades ago and led today from Dubai and Mumbai, KARANI GROUP operates ISO-certified processes, two in-house joinery facilities and multidisciplinary site teams. The group's portfolio spans villas and residences, corporate workplaces, retail rollouts, restaurants, hospitals and educational campuses.
Context: four decades of contracting
KARANI GROUP was established in Dubai in 1986 and has since delivered more than 600 projects across the UAE, India and Oman. The group employs over 300 professionals and operates two owned joinery manufacturing facilities — 35,000 sq ft in Dubai and 18,500 sq ft in Mumbai — supported by ISO 9001 quality, ISO 14001 environmental and ISO 45001 occupational health and safety certified management systems, alongside IAF, QRS, DAC and EIAC accreditations.
UAE works are contracted through KARANI INTERIOR DECORATOR (L.L.C) from the Dubai headquarters behind OASIS Centre, Al Quoz, and Indian works through KARANI PROJECTS PRIVATE LIMITED from Mumbai. That structure lets multinational clients hold one design and quality standard across both markets while local teams manage regulation, labour and supply chains on the ground.
How we deliver projects
Every engagement follows the same route: discovery and measured survey; design coordination and priced breakdown; authority, landlord and free-zone approvals with long-lead procurement released against a locked specification; site execution against a baseline programme with weekly reporting; testing, commissioning and snagging; and handover with as-built drawings, warranties and operation and maintenance manuals followed by a defects-liability period.
Working with a single-point contractor removes the most common source of delay on fit-out and construction work — unclear accountability between designer, main contractor, joinery supplier and MEP subcontractor. One KARANI GROUP team owns design coordination, procurement, submissions, site management, commissioning and handover documentation from start to finish.
Quality, safety and workforce standards
Quality control runs against documented hold points: shop drawings and material submittals approved before fabrication, samples signed off on site, and recorded first-fix, second-fix and pre-handover inspections. Safety is managed with risk assessments and method statements, permit-to-work controls, site induction, daily toolbox talks and supervised execution. Environmental performance covers waste segregation, low-VOC materials where specified, responsibly sourced timber and energy-efficient specification.
Our workforce is directly employed, with welfare, training and accommodation standards audited internally — an increasingly material factor for clients whose own procurement policies assess labour practices alongside price and programme.
Sectors and services covered
Group capability spans civil construction, interior fit-out for offices, retail and restaurants, bespoke joinery manufacturing, restoration and refurbishment, and facility management. Sectors served include residential villas and apartments, corporate workplaces, retail and jewellery stores, hotels and F&B venues, schools and academies, and clinics and hospitals.
Geographically we deliver across Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and the wider UAE, and across India from Mumbai, with completed projects also in Kolkata, Bengaluru, Siliguri and Oman.
Corporate milestones
The group began in 1986 as a specialist joinery and interior craftsmanship workshop in Dubai under Mr. Ganesh H. Suthar. Through the 1990s it grew into full interior fit-out contracting across the UAE; in the 2000s civil construction and turnkey design-build delivery were added so clients could procure an entire project under one contract; and in the 2010s a directly-owned office and joinery facility were established in Mumbai. Today the group runs ISO-certified systems supporting projects in the UAE, India and Oman.
That continuity matters commercially. Long-serving craftsmen, stable supplier relationships built over decades, and in-house manufacturing capacity are what allow consistent finish quality across concurrent projects in two countries — and they are the reason repeat clients account for a substantial share of the group's workload.
What this means for clients
For owners and consultants evaluating contractors, updates like this one form part of a wider record: certifications and accreditations, delivered project references, safety and environmental performance, workforce standards and financial continuity. We publish that record openly so prequalification committees can verify it rather than take it on assurance, and so clients understand who will actually be on their site.
