Materials and craftsmanship

We work in natural and reconstituted veneers, solid hardwoods, lacquered and painted MDF, high-pressure laminates, acrylic and PET surfaces, back-painted and antique glass, brass, stainless steel and powder-coated metal, leather and fabric inlays, and stone or solid-surface worktops. Veneers are sequence-matched and book-matched across a scheme so grain runs continuously from one element to the next.

Finishing is where bespoke joinery is won or lost. Spray booths, controlled drying, hand sanding between coats and matt, satin or high-gloss polishing are carried out by craftsmen, many of whom have been with the group for well over a decade. Ironmongery — soft-close runners, concealed hinges, push-to-open systems, lighting and integrated charging — is specified to suit daily use, not just the drawing.

Bespoke versus modular joinery

Bespoke joinery is drawn and fabricated to the measured site condition. It absorbs out-of-square walls, services routes and unusual dimensions, allows any material or finish combination, and is the right answer for reception areas, feature walls, luxury retail displays, villa dressing rooms and anything where the joinery is the design statement.

Modular joinery uses standardised carcass sizes with bespoke fronts and finishes. It is faster to produce, easier to budget and easier to replicate across repeat units, which suits developer handovers, apartment packages, staff areas and back-of-house storage. Most projects use a sensible mix: modular where repetition exists, fully bespoke where the space is seen. We advise on where the split should fall rather than defaulting to the more expensive option.

Manufacturing capability

The Dubai facility spans 35,000 sq ft with beam saws, edge banders, CNC routers, press and assembly lines, dedicated spray and polishing booths, metal and glass workshops, and a quality-control and pre-assembly area where large items are dry-fitted before delivery. Owning both facilities means capacity can be planned against the construction programme rather than queued behind a supplier’s other clients, and revisions raised on site can be reworked and returned quickly instead of restarting a procurement cycle.

Process, from survey to installation

The sequence is consistent: site survey and measured drawings, design and material selection with physical samples, shop drawings issued for consultant and client approval, sample or prototype sign-off where the scheme warrants it, production against a locked specification, factory quality inspection and dry assembly, protected delivery, site installation by our own fitters, and final adjustment, polishing and snagging.

Quality control runs against documented hold points. Shop drawings and material submittals are approved before fabrication begins, samples are signed off on site, and first-fix, second-fix and pre-handover inspections are recorded. Health, safety and environmental procedures follow certified method statements with permit-to-work controls, toolbox talks and daily supervision.

Joinery within a wider contract

Our delivery process, stage by stage

Progress reporting is factual: percentage complete by trade against baseline, procurement status, open RFIs, approved and pending variations, HSE observations and a forward two-week look-ahead.
